A Neo-Classic Space resurgence?
There’s been a spate of really great Neo-Classic Space models over this last week or so, and I hadn’t realized I missed it quite as much as I apparently do. The latest update to a classic set is Chris Edwards‘s update to 6928 Uranium Search Vehicle.
As much as I love the vehicle — from the faithful recreation of the uranium detectors on the front to the lab on the back — what stands out most to me is the great updates to the black and white Space minifigs.
The next PennLUG meeting is fast approaching on October 1st! There’s also a small challenge to our members check out the forums for details on the meeting and challenge. Hope to see you all there!

Steamtown is having Railfest 2011 on September 3rd and 4th in Scranton, PA. It’s going to be a great even to come out and see some of the heritage of Railroading. Additionally PennLUG is going to have a display up showing some of the LEGO custom train models. It’s bound to be fun for both young and old alike. We hope we see you there. Should be a nice change of pace after the recent earthquake and hurricane no?

Evil Jack (Joel) posted some interesting information on a new LEGO Beta Site called Cuusoo. The idea is pretty neat if you can get 10,000 people to like your creation or project then LEGO might make that an offical LEGO set. It’s already been done for someone in Japan.
Discussion is happening on the forums, but also visit the official LEGO Cuusoo Site at http://lego.cuusoo.com/
